Conditions report for Winter Carnival Saturday, March 14, 2026
Operating Hours: 9 AM to 9 PM

Good morning everyone and welcome to Winter Carnival 2026. We were determined to be able to be open today come hell or high water and, well, It seems the universe took us a little too literally. The rain may be taking its toll on our base but we’re not about to let it crush our spirits, we’ve got a party to throw. We do not, unfortunately, have enough snow for the Dummy Downhill or the snow sculpture competition today but there are still plenty of festivities to enjoy including our famous fireworks. As an added bonus we should be seeing a little bit of new snow falling in the early morning hours before the day gives way to partly sunny skies.

Grooming continues to be rather limited in the steeper terrain due to low snow levels but otherwise remains consistent with what has been getting groomed recently. Surfaces are likely to be soft and fun. As the snowpack continues to shrink please be aware that marked, unmarked, and hidden hazards exist, ride with caution, and always, always scout before you send it!

First time up since we put our new system in? All riders must now create a profile online and purchase a reloadable $5 RFID card to ride. Once your profile has been set up you will be able to purchase tickets online that load directly to your card and sign our waiver. No need to wait in line at the mountain! On your first visit simply scan and print your pass at one of our convenient Ski-osks.

The snow is not super deep yet but it is never too soon to learn about deep snow safety. Want to learn more? Check out deepsnowsafety.org.

Are you a first-time rider? Want to brush up on safer ways to load lifts and move around the mountain? Check out discoversnow.org and give yourself a better, safer start.
