Like the other campgrounds on the Metolius, Allen Springs is located amongst towering Ponderosa Pines.  Allen Springs is on a turn of the Metolius River that broadens the river view the flow of the Metolius presents a constant background music to the chirping of the birds and the occasional howl of night-time predators. Located just past Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery (Visiting hours are 8 AM - 7 PM),  Most of the campsites are better suited to tents rather than RV's. It is located several miles past the Camp Sherman to Gorge set of campgrounds. During the off season the campground will be open with minimum services.  There is No Water at Allen Springs      For those of you who miss the ability to take a shower or use the laundry or even need an RV dump these amenities are available for a fee at Hoodoo's Camp Sherman RV and Motel (aka. Black Butte RV Park). The RV Park is located next to the school as you enter Camp Sherman. Also a fee RV dump is available at the Hoodoo Lodge from 9AM to 4PM.     We normally have a host in the campground from about Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend. RV use rating is a 4 (out of 5)
